A native of Los Angeles, Judith Siirila has appeared in leading roles in such operas as Lucia di Lammermoor, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Aida, Il Trovatore, Le Nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, The Magic Flute, Die Fledermaus and Hansel and Gretel, with companies that include the Long Beach Opera, West Coast Opera, Opera Theatre of the Inland Empire, West End Opera and the Redlands Bowl Festival. She was a member of Opera A La Carte, the touring repertory Gilbert & Sullivan company, performing lead roles in The Mikado, Patience and The Pirates of Penzance. Judi has appeared as soprano soloist with numerous symphony orchestras, including the Redlands, Torrance, Palisades, Cypress and Westchester Symphonies, as well as the Estonian National Symphony.
Judi has toured Estonia and Russia with the Pacific Chorale, performing the soprano solos in Orff’s Carmina Burana and Herbert Howell’s Hymnus Paradisi. Additional oratorio performances include soprano soloist in Verdi’s Requiem, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Bach’s St. John Passion, Mozart’s Exsultate, jubilate, Great Mass in C Minor and Requiem, Rutter’s Magnificat, Gloria and Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, Schubert’s Mass in G, Fauré’s Requiem, Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and The Conversion of St. Paul, Duruflé's Requiem, René Clausen’s A New Creation, Dvorak’s Stabat Mater and Handel’s Messiah.
She has also performed lead roles in many musical productions, including Oklahoma, The Fantasticks, Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. A musical theater highlight was as a pit singer for the L.A. company “Reprise!” in a production of Promises, Promises, starring Jason Alexander, Jean Smart and Alan Thicke. Other highlights include 3 tours of Japan with the Roger Wagner Chorale, tours of Spain and Brazil with the Holy Trinity (Georgetown, DC) Choir, and tours of France and Italy with the St. Cyril of Jerusalem (Encino, CA) Choir.
